Analogue (PSTN) Telephone Lines

Norwich Telecoms can provide business telephone lines, from a single line to a multi-number, multi-pair installation providing you with multiple lines with the same number.

We are proud to offer lower cost line rental with shorter contracts than many of the larger national companies. In addition to this, we can also provide you with significantly reduced call rates.

Please contact us for more information on the installation of telephone lines for your business.

For businesses requiring multiple lines Norwich Telecoms are able to provide ISDN2e. ISDN2e is a smaller digital business line service that comes with 2 channels on one connection, with the ability to line multiple connections together, each with its own connection box (NTE), but with DDI numbers across all linked connections. ISDN2e installations are suitable for up to 8 channels.

DDI (Direct Dial In) numbers are available for ISDN2e installations. DDIs enable calls to be forwarded by the phone system to a specific extension if required.

ISDN30 provisions from Norwich Telecoms are ideal for customers requiring any number of lines from 8 upwards. Like ISDN2e, it uses Direct Dial In (DDI) numbers allowing individual DDI numbers to be used for individuals, departments and marketing purposes.

All Norwich Telecoms ISDN30 installations include a Care Level upgrade to Level 3. This covers Premier Care, Fraud Protection and Site Assurance.

Norwich Telecoms are able to project manage new ISDN2e and ISDN30 installations, taking the stress and hassle away, allowing you to concentrate on your business.

SIP Trunks

A SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) Trunk is a channel running over an IP (Internet Protocol) based connection, such as Leased Line, Ethernet First Mile, or ADSL.

Each SIP Trunk can be considered in the same way as a traditional line in as much as each SIP Trunk can carry one voice conversation at a time.

Why use SIP Trunks?

  • Line Rental Costs – Utilising SIP Trunks over your existing internet connection makes traditional PSTN and ISDN lines redundant.
  • Calls Costs – Site to site calls are free. Savings can also be made on other outbound call traffic.
  • Disaster Recovery – In the event of a disaster or connectivity outage calls can be routed to a predetermined location or number automatically.
  • Scalability – SIP trunks can be removed or added easily and quickly. Providing bandwidth is available on your existing data connection the time and expense of ordering and installing physical lines to accommodate additional voice channels is a thing of the past.
  • Flexibility – Offices can be relocated and existing numbers can be retained and transferred easily.
